Eyes Wide Shut 1999
This transmission follows a human male whose emotional equilibrium is disrupted when his mate discloses that she once considered mating with a stranger. No act occurred — only a thought. This is enough to destabilize him for 48 consecutive hours.
He wanders through a sequence of increasingly irrational encounters. He visits a former acquaintance who provides a codeword and an address. This leads him to a masked ceremony involving ritualistic behavior, coordinated chanting, and no visible agenda other than synchronized discomfort. All participants are human.
The male is quickly identified as an intruder. He is allowed to leave, but warned not to return. This appears to be their version of mercy.
Later, he attempts to investigate the event, but those involved have vanished or deny knowledge. A human associated with the ritual is found dead. The cause is ambiguous, but treated as significant. The male begins to suspect that powerful forces are hiding in plain sight — possibly in mansions.
Despite all this, he tells no one except his mate, who listens without understanding. Their final interaction includes a discussion about dreams, reality, and the importance of physical connection. They resolve their crisis by scheduling mating activity.
Conclusion: Humans are deeply affected by thoughts that never materialize. They invent conspiracies to fill emotional voids, then abandon those conspiracies once desire is rebalanced. They fear hidden societies, but are drawn to them if robes are involved.
If Nebulon ever initiates surveillance disruption, consider introducing a false ceremony involving masks, passwords, and unsettling music. Humans will enter voluntarily and explain nothing afterward.
