Ghostbusters 1984

This transmission follows four humans who develop technology to capture invisible entities known as “ghosts.” These entities are assumed to be the remains of deceased humans, though no formal classification system is offered. The ghost-hunting team is composed of expelled researchers, a financial administrator, and one recruit hired without explanation.

They create a business. Their strategy involves detecting paranormal activity, projecting containment streams from energy-based packs, and storing captured spirits in a shared container located inside their headquarters. This container is powered by an unknown source and is structurally unsecured.

As spectral activity increases, the humans gain fame and financial support — until a government agent arrives and disables the containment unit without understanding how it works. This releases all the stored entities. The public is surprised.

Simultaneously, a building in the city becomes a summoning site for a destructive deity named Gozer. This being takes the form of a quadrupedal creature, then a humanoid, and finally a dessert mascot selected by one of the humans during a moment of accidental telepathy.

The humans defeat the entity by crossing energy streams — a method they previously described as potentially fatal. It works. No consequences are explored.

Conclusion: When humans encounter supernatural threats, they respond by starting a small business, charging per visit, and storing volatile anomalies in urban centers. They fear ghosts but tolerate them if packaged correctly. They also allow government agents to interfere with containment systems they do not understand.

If Nebulon ever introduces spectral simulations to destabilize Earth regions, anticipate minimal resistance and high merchandising potential.
